Since November 2005, Bel&Bio pralines proudly carry the “Fairtrade” label Max Havelaar.
The fair trade allows in an organized and controlled manner to improve the living standards of small producers by offering a fair price for their production. This price takes into account the needs of the producers in order for them to make a profit from their sales.
Bel&Bio collaborates with cooperatives in Peru, Ecuador, Santo-Domingo, …
Even some product packaging is produced in Madagascar in a fair trade manner.
The Max Havelaar label guarantees consumers that the products sold are issued from fair trade.
