A Grand Prix chocolate
Our motto: only natural ingredients: chocolate with 72 % cocoa, pure butter, organic almonds from Murcia, organic hazelnuts from Piedmont, organic pistachio seeds from Sicily, organic fresh cream (local of course !), vanilla and other ingredients used in chocolate factory.
No preservatives, no coloring, no flavor enhancers, no artificial flavors, no GMOs, no hydrogenated fats. Our products are also gluten-free.
The variety of flavors in our range of chocolates is solely obtained through the different origins of the ingredients. Through ourproducts, discover the best of what earth has to offer.
Our challenge: to prove that organic products issued from fair trade are as good for man as for nature.
The “health” criteria is one of our main concerns. Whether it is the health of those who taste our chocolates, the health of our employees or the health of the small producers who, thanks to organic cultivation, avoid contact with the chemicals.
All our products are certified under the Max Havelaar Fairtrade label. We are thankful to the countries in the South for their exceptional basic ingredients we are able to use. Therefore, we feel that fair trading is a duty.
Bel&Bio always wants to go further in the “sustainable” approach. In 2009, we launched a new challenge: to become the first ecological chocolate factory. A new workshop was built in Ghislenghien, and all processes of the making were reviewed in that objective.
Mission accomplished ! In 2011, Bel&Bio is recognized as the “greenest micro-enterprise in Europe” by the European Commission in Warsaw winning the EMAS award in this category.
In 2012, Bel&Bio was nominated “Silver” trophy of Economy Network Manager Alliances in Nord-Pas de Calais region and won the Horizons award Hainaut (Sustainable Development award of the Province of Hainaut).
